The Roya Vision Correction Project in Gaza, implemented by Al Khair Foundation, has begun creating a tangible impact on the ground by providing specialized eye examinations and customized eyeglasses for beneficiaries who face difficulties accessing vision care services.
The project comes in response to the growing need for eye examinations and medical eyeglasses in the Gaza Strip, amid economic and humanitarian conditions that prevent many families from covering the costs of these essential services.
During the first phase of the project, services reached a number of beneficiaries, including children and students, who underwent accurate eye examinations, medical assessments, and lens measurements, paving the way for providing eyeglasses tailored to each individual’s needs.
The importance of medical eyeglasses goes beyond improving vision alone; they help beneficiaries regain the ability to continue their education, read daily details, move around safely, and carry out their responsibilities with greater clarity and independence.
