The first international scientific conference, “Zakat Management: A Contemporary Jurisprudential and Technological Approach,” concluded in Baghdad, Iraq. The event was organized by Al-Rakeeza Foundation for Relief and Development in cooperation with the Council of Iraqi Scholars, and generously sponsored by Al-Khair Foundation.
The conference brought together a distinguished group of scholars, researchers, and specialized experts from Iraq and abroad. It aimed to advance zakat management systems based on sound Islamic jurisprudence and modern technological standards, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and the social and developmental impact of zakat funds.
Participants discussed key themes including zakat governance, collection and distribution mechanisms, and the integration of technological solutions into institutional management, alongside strengthening the balance between classical jurisprudential perspectives and contemporary realities. The conference concluded with a set of recommendations intended to support the advancement and effectiveness of institutional zakat work.
