Afghanistan — As part of its humanitarian mandate and rapid disaster-response efforts, Alkhair Foundation conducted a comprehensive field assessment across several regions impacted by the recent earthquake that struck parts of Afghanistan. The mission aimed to evaluate the extent of destruction and document the immediate needs of affected families.

During the visit, Alkhair Foundation teams assessed heavily damaged areas, witnessing firsthand the destruction inflicted on homes, community structures, and essential infrastructure. The teams also met with displaced families taking shelter in temporary camps, gathering detailed insights into their most pressing needs.

This field assessment marks the first phase of Alkhair Foundation’s emergency response plan, which will include the delivery of food assistance, shelter support, and essential humanitarian aid. The Foundation is also preparing interventions that address medical and psychosocial needs—critical components for families coping with trauma and loss.
